An exploration into how a single repetitive motif plays on communication. Each piece in the series is painted with the same visual element, the crosshatch, yet evokes a mood completely different from the next. The line’s delivery – it’s weight, color, length, placement, background – changes what it communicates and how it is perceived dramatically. A work-in-progress, “Crosshatch” currently includes Angered, Imbalanced, Sheltered, Light, Sharp, and Free among others.
